Asia travel: Macau a blend of new China, old Europe and Las Vegas

Macau is home to the world’s largest casino, the Venetian, which like its predecessor in Nevada seeks to recreate Venice, complete with canals and singing gondoliers.

The former Portuguese colony of Macau, in southern China, is best known for its casinos, but offers a tapestry of sights, sounds and flavours for every budget.
