Viva Florida: Sunshine State celebrates its Spanish heritage

St. Augustine, America's oldest city, was colonized by European settlers after Ponce de Leon stumbled upon Florida 500 years ago.

Year of festivals and events planned to mark the 500th anniversary of Juan Ponce de Leon’s accidental arrival on the shores of south Florida.
